Who said I couldn't be flexible?
Welcome to my first blog.
Who am I?
Lisa Allen-Agostini, 34, mother of two delightful young women, from Trinidad & Tobago, Morvant-born, Diego Martin resident.

Mostly, I'm a writer.
I have my first novel coming out in April (The Chalice Project, Macmillan Caribbean) and a second book due in August (Trinidad Noir, Akashic Books, co-edited with Jeanne Mason).
By day I'm the mild-mannered communications manager for the Anthony N Sabga Caribbean Awards for Excellence.
I also write for various publications, chiefly the Trinidad Guardian, Caribbean Airlines Caribbean Beat Magazine and the Caribbean Review of Books
I have resisted blogging because I always found it so much navel gazing... but I have to admit there are some I like very much, like Keifel Agostini's (my ex-husband), Raymond Ramcharitar's (former colleague at the Trinidad Express) and Jeremy Taylor's (publisher of both above-named magazines but I'm not sucking up, I swear!). There are others but I'll talk about them later. Maybe.
So that's me.
And these are my wonderful girls.

Hope I'll be around a great deal and for a long time.
Lise
